I noticed house cats today

You want the trigger on bottom and not sticking up in their face, preferably bent inward and on a wooden pan.

Although I dont use boxes much, here is my setup when I do. I basically copied it from Chip Davis’s video that stevetucker mentioned.

Thanks y’all. I think im going to try it out. I got some deer scrapes in freezer I saved.

I caught one in a 120 skunk box once never In a 220 box intended for cats.

I was also curious if there was good success rate on them. It would be something I used for when the weather is like what it has been here. But didn’t know if it was worth building them and trying them.

I don’t use alot of them, but they have their place. Obviously one should BE very careful where they are placed. I only use them on the farms we own, nowhere else. Good advice on the triggers and coni-pans. I have caught cats with both, but prefer pans. If I do just use the stock trigger, I place it off to the side, each trigger running parallel to the jaws. Creates a less-intrusive opening. I bait mine with beaver or muskrat if I have it.

Will plastic square buckets work?

And it may have been posted but that big pan
Is really neat we’re do you buy those

I might experiment with thin plywood but that metal pan is neat

was looking at them too.

fnt has them i think

A little update on the cubby box how to video for anyone interested. That same guy, (Chip Davis) has another video of building them that might be a little better. Look up you tube video, "Turkeys for Tomorrow "video, Chip Davis building bobcat cubby boxes. He shows how he lays out on a sheet of plywood, and builds one on camera. I have used heavy screen on body grips as a foot pedal in the past with 220’s and 5 gallon buckets, and it worked great for coons. I have never tried it, but I believe these corrugated cardboard/vinyl politician signs would work great as a foot pan on body grips too! just cut to size, poke your wires through the little rows of holes, and bend the wires back on the pan to hold it solid and your in business! Hope this helps!

Great idea on those signs
I’ll check out his You Tube

The corrugated plastic works great in function I have not caught using them but I’m sure they would work.
