Beavers made the news in Lexington

Colt and Steve need to help them out.

When I was working I had a stubborn bunch of beaver on West Hickman that would build a dam downstream of my gage and back water up. I tore it out several times. I put a hit out on them with a couple of trappers up there then along with another creek over by the north side. Some of the comments during the news piece are funny.

I agree on the funny part

I honestly believe they think you can just walk up and pet them or pick them up like a puppy dog

If I read right you cannot relocate any beaver
Nuisance trapping

A wildlife management lesson could be had by all parties if a nuisance trapper were brought on site.

They consider that moving a beaver from one spot to another you’re just causing a problem for someone else so nope can’t do that.

Well I thought the same but they mentioned the HOA hadn’t decided what to do yet.
Prolly more trouble then it’s worth

Beaver was there before they was and I don’t personally care if it floods the whole place.
I stay outta Lexington unless I’m working

I’m sure the HOA would want them “ live trapped” and taken somewhere else just so they wouldn’t be their problem. I get a little tickled when I see these wildlife issues pop up for people that never think they’ll have one. Most are probably anti trapping until something affects THEM. I’ve seen a coyote story or two in Lexington too.Really, the beavers didn’t seem to be bothering anything to me as far as the HOA was concerned. The most of them are probably all about nature until they perceive it a problem.

If any of you guys want to live trap those beaver for the HOA in Lexington, you can bring those beavers down here to my neck of the woods, and I will find a good home for them! I might even be able to get Bearwallow to train them to be live decoys for next fur season! LOL!
