I haven’t dug or sold any kind of roots in years now, as work has kept me too busy, and age has got me too tired ! But I’m thinking about starting back this summer/Fall; so who here still digs, and who do you prefer to sell to? I’m thinking, Black Cohosh, Golden Seal, and maybe a couple of other types like Solomons seal , and of course Ginseng . I don’t have a clue what any of it goes for these days, so any advice is appreciated!
I’ve shipped a little over the years and I’ve sold to pugh in Pendleton co. Not many options around me. Everythang but sang is cheap. Exsept snakeroot witch I’ve never found
I dug eight pounds of yellow root a couple years ago and sold to a man in Knox County.
I got a list of root buyers from the cooperative extension office the last time I sold any and that has been awhile ago
Okay, I hadn’t thought of anything like that. I will check here local, and see if anyone is buying. Thanks!
Stacey got a book the other day about medicinal herbs and plants. It’s very good. It also tells how to tincture stuff which is useful to trappers. She’s asked me if I ever heard of this and that and I’ll say yes, it grows everywhere. I’m going to help her find some stuff to play with.
