Eastern Ky flood relief donations

Anyone know a good, reputable place where donation can be made to ensure it goes into the right place and not overhead?

Could probably go to some of the local churches

Have you heard of Kentucky Disaster Relief through the KBC I think?

Haven’t heard of them

Pretty reputable from what I know

Kentucky Baptist Relief fund is a good one. We have a couple good friends up in Pike county now helping out.

Stacy White has some good contacts over there as well

They are the ones you see at Disasters that wear yellow hats, and T-shirts. They are a well run organization that puts volunteers where needed. They run a lot of feeding trailers, Laundry trailers, and shower trailers. As well as chain saw crews, mud out teams, etc. Back during Katrina, a very large group of us that were in the Pulaski Co relief Ministry went down to the Gulf and worked along side of them. They impressed me at the time. They have Disaster training through out the State from time to time; so if you want to work with them, you are required to go through the training. Now of course, they are not the only ones out there doing what they do, there are other good Groups like Samaritans Purse too. As well as local Church, or Volunteer groups. I’m sure you could pick up the phone and call either the County Judges office in affected Counties, or the County Disaster Coordinators Office in a given County and find out what they recommend.
