Eventful last few days!

The last few days have been eventful around here to say the least! Of course everyone has heard about the Tornado that pretty much covered a big portion of the State, with several killed in Laurel Co., and so far one in Pulaski Co. Maybe another in nearby Russell too. About a week ago my phone went haywire; so that’s been useless, then We had to go out of town on Friday afternoon, and that night my Wife got several text that the Storm had wiped out 2 couples that we are friends with Farming operation! A 3rd Couple we are friends with had the french doors yanked out of their home, and some roof, and electric supply damage, along with outside vinyl damage done. We heard that the Tornado went right behind our house, but we were very lucky, and had no damage done! Of course the electric has been down a couple of days, and with that, No WI-FI till this evening. But all in all, we have been very lucky, and blessed!
And the Silver liner to this weekend for us was to see our Daughter walk across the stage and receive her Masters Degree; So we were happy for her for sure! I hope all the rest of you weathered the storm okay, as I know it hit very close to bear creeks home, and did much damage just a little ways from him! Hopefully the rest of you guys managed to avoid any damage, and you and yours are all okay!

Glad to hear you’re ok. Several were worried about you and Larry.

Larry’s place is probably 7-8 miles away as the crow flies, so it didn’t get real close to him this time. I haven’t talked to him in a while though. I need to run over and visit him for a little while before too long. I wanted to check on others, and assure folks that we were okay, but when you’re backing a dead phone, your landline phones are out, and electric is out for a couple of days or more, you are suddenly living in the old days again! I’m hoping no one else in our Organization suffered any damage, or loss!

Good to hear you are well and congratulations. The drone footage from Steve’s post can only give a visual of the devastation. The sounds from the cleanup, the words of the survivors and the grief of those who have lost loved ones and their homes, will always echo to those who made it through that night.

Yep, you are right! Having lived through a Tornado myself many years ago, it’s something akin to being in a War Zone. You never forget what it was like to hear it, to feel it, and to come out the other side of it alive when others all around you didn’t!
My heart goes out to all who suffered loss, and destruction due to this!

If this one was like others I responded to, to add insult to injury the looters were out before the last of the debris had settled trying to steal what little these folks had left.
Prayers for all those impacted

Already heard of scammers trying to get donations of money from good hearted folks! They ought to be fed to the hogs!
