Caught a grey fox this morning and sent him on his way. First one I’ve caught in many moons.

I bet I hadn’t caught one in five or six years at least until a couple mornings ago.

A lot of guys can’t remember when there were greys literally everywhere and don’t understand our fondness of the old days I bet.

The last one I caught was about 15 years ago. I haven’t caught a red fox in about as long?
Steve, I had a red the next day in the same trap and I know that’s been 25 years probably. I don’t know if releasing them makes that much of a difference but I’ve killed a lot of foxes in my life and that’s what I choose to do at this time. In five years comes and I start seeing 8-10 I might take a few.
In 1986 or so I chose to only harvest one beaver a year. They were just coming in. That paid off to me……
