Hope everyone is having a great Independence Day! I’ve been thinking about the ones who signed on the bottom of the Declaration of Independance, and the cost in blood, sweat , and tears to them that stood against a Tyrant King, and the British Army and Navy to establish a new Nation. I hope as a Country , and a People, that we are worthy of their sacrifices for all time ! As for me, I’m kicked back on the back porch, chillin, and enjoying some ice cream and blackberries from my berry patch!
Got a few chores to finish up, then Fish Fry at the Volunteer Fire Dept. and Fireworks there after.

I heard fireworks everywhere last night. We couldn’t afford them when I was a kid. Now it seems everyone shoots them off.

Ain’t that the truth moma and daddy didn’t have money to literally shoot up a wild hogs hind end.
I thank there was more shot last night then I’ve ever heard.

I agree that there was more fireworks shot off last night than in a Long time.
I suspect part of the reason why, aside from folks being more loose with their money, is an overwhelming sense of things starting to get better!
Not everyone will agree; and things will never be perfect, but I think more people are starting to feel some pride in the Country again, and I guess a lot more are feeling like celebrating America, instead of being bewildered at the direction it was going for so long!
