Let’s see some predator scat

Always have trouble identifying coyote and bobcat scat and can’t recall ever seeing fox scat*

I look for these mostly.

So which one is tht is usually twisted with hair in it

The location I find the cat toilets tells me ( in my mind) it’s cat. I see so few fox droppings anymore I’m surprised when I think one is. I saw tons of them in the roads in the early eighties. No coyotes and very few cats then. I see more cat droppings than any but it’s what I look for. Sometimes you just see a prominent rock, hump or high spot and look and there it is.

The long twisted ones with hair are coyote. I break these up sometimes and they’re full of tiny bones and teeth. Cat dropping are often blunt and segmented. I don’t claim to never be wrong though. It’s just what I think. We have so few fox anymore if you find a fox dropping it’s a rarity.

Segments in cat poop is the key in my mind.
I’ve seen a bunch of reds this year. And a few greys gives a man hope
