Haha I’m a little embarrassed I don’t have very much to show for my efforts. Everything is frozen still. Can’t wait to start working on it but honestly want to get a dryer and some more hands on. I damaged the **** out of my bobcat hide. I am really glad nobody took me up on my tanning offer. Just rookie move, got excited and spoke too soon. I’ll have it down soon enough I’m sure.

There’s been years I only had a handful of mink rats and 2 or 3 otter and that was after I already knew how to catch stuff well.
I was just as proud of them seasons as I was when I was doing allot more.
I don’t want anybody to ever feel like what they catch ain’t enough,ive been belittled like.that in the past and it’s not a good thang to do to somebody who traps and worksup and takes pride in there catch.

Ours won’t be put up because I told the kids I would tan everything we caught and sew them a blanket together with them. But we’ve caught more than I ever expected so I might be making a blanket for all 3 of them instead. Either way, once I’m caught up on skinning and have some free time off work to thaw the hides out, I plan on me and the kids taking our barn picture together before I get to work tanning

Well said Colt! If you talk to anyone that has been at this any time at all, you can hear them talk about the first thing they ever caught with as much, or often, more excitement in their voices than the best year they ever had number wise!

I agree the last thing I do before the lights go out is look at my fur.

I told my wife , I hope I get enough out of my fur to pay my hotel room and buy my gas to come to sell! I want to meet you all! And learn a little something! I got so much to improve on!

Good looking fur guys! Been a successful season for some looks like! I would post some but my place to hang, dry and store fur is pathetically embarrassing. Hoping to get my shop built this summer.
