I know we’ve had a good rain when I can hear it pouring out of my pond from the porch. The leaves on the creek banks hadn’t been cleared off yet and it’s practically Feb.

In my area it seems like its been high water or ice since the first of December. Its definitely made beaver trapping tough. I normally dont utilize the March extension, but I definitely will this year.

I have driven over the Licking River on
I-275 up this way in the last 2 week here in NKy
A couple times
Ice Jams the first trip as far as you could see
Impossible to navigate that day
Yesterday it was a little better only up to the bridge
That’s about 2 to 3 miles to the entrance to the Ohio River
Water was high and I’d say after the rain last night be even more
You must be pretty close to me. The licking river was pretty high this morning in Falmouth.
Wife said the lowland roads around us are flooded. She said she’d bet we got a foot of rain.

Was going to set a bunch for mink this morning but the rain changed my mind set some snares for coyote and some 330 s for beaver at there hut

When I can see the creek from my front porch it means lots of rain.
