I read year round. Go through spells of trapping books and magazines to history and historical fiction. I like the dates, names and places to be non disputable and I can live with the actual author’s wording in the conversations. I also go through trapping dvd periods. I think the worse the world gets the more I look for mental escapes from it. One thing I like about early American history is knowing the days ahead were brighter for them and we were to become the greatest nation on the face of the earth.

I read allot I write allot and I watch old stuff. I hardly ever watch enythang new ,mash Barney miller,Sanford and son. I like older trapping videos from when I was a young trapper coming on. I look back and can’t believe what 25 dollars coulda taught me.

I’m gonna gather all my old VHS trapping tapes
And figure a way to watch them

Everything has gone CD I know there is a way to convert them

Just reading Charlie’s books there sets I use to make and forgot about get in a routine

I’ve got many Louis L’ Amour books and such to pass the time with in the Evening or down time

I bought a working vcr player at a yard sale for 2.00. You might get lucky. I have all the Louis L’Amour books as well as the Zane Greys for the most part. I haven’t dug them out in years. Bendigo Shafer, The Walking Drum, Haunted Mesa and The Sacketts are some of my favorite ones. Chet turned me on to James Alexander Thom and all his books are great. I’m reading book one of a series written by Kentucky author Geoff Baggett right now, he lives in Cadiz. They’re written at an easy to read fast level but so far first one lists events historically accurately. Just finished William Clark and The Shaping of The West and it was good. The Fate of the Corp before that was about what happened to all of the Lewis and Clark expedition members when they returned.

Thumb,
We had a bunch of VHS tapes we took to a lady who transferred it all to DVD’s. Cost about $200 to do them all but considered it worth the cost. Maybe you can find someone like that close to you.

I’m gonna look into it thanks for the suggestions
My nieces husband is good at that kinda stuff

I m so old school when it comes to this new technology

I believe I have one of Mr Dobbins and
Slim Peterson have to root through and see what else I’ll find gonna organize it all
