Hey guys yall knownof a good taxidermist in western ky that handles bobcats really well?
I dont ever have anything mounted so I am not sure of any prices or anything but Todd Lucas (Lucas Taxidermy) is bragged about by a lot of people…I hear he is expensive and takes forever but that is usually a sign that he is good. I had a friend that had one done at English’s Taxidermy in West Paducah and was pleased with it. Bobcats are notoriously difficult to make look right, I guess you knew that though. I’d be picky about who I let do it. My brother-in-law threw a bobcat mount in the dumpster and felt like he needed to apologize to the landfill manager it was so bad.

Jason Logsdon and Southern Pride Taxidermy are both in Central Ky area and do well on cats. But Day 6 Taxidermy in Versailles Indiana is the best that is reasonably close. Remember, you get what you pay for. If you want it to look alive prepare to spend $1500-$2000. If you dont care for it to look like its on meth and been eating out of a Crisco can you can get one done around $500

I can do a decent cat, but some of them guys are crazy good but they are costly. Im not taking any work though.

Abel, Day 6 Taxidermy, quoted me 2100 for a “base mount” on a cat last year and told me he was going to be going up in price this year. A friend told me he was 2400 now. I never called to find out
i had a cat done by Southern Pride bout 8 years ago and was 800$ then. hard say what it be now.
I guess I’ll never get another one mounted. I gave the first one I ever caught to the local grade school. Their mascot is the wildcats. I think it was 300 back in 1984.
