Got a call from a lady that wanted some predator trapping done. She had 15 acres. I asked her two weeks ago if maybe she had some neighbors that’d let me on them at the same time and she came back with several the other day. I’m going to spend a meet and greet day in the area. I’ve trapped all over the county except this one particular area. Mainly they’re concerned with coyotes so I’ll set for them and mix in a cat set here and there. There’s no money in trapping but I feel good when people actually want you to come and try to do a little good and feel obligated since she made those contacts. That’s how we build a line and do good relations.
Show them a few catches, and they will be happy I bet!
Nothing makes a landowner happier than showing the two or three coyotes off their place.
As soon as I get back from Kansas I am supposed to meet a guy that has a beaver issue. Best thing is, he is a doctor with TONS of land consisting of multiple farms all over two counties…I plan on doing real good job for him. Hoping it turns into additional opportunities in the future.
Wishing you good luck in Kansas, and in the Beaver swamp as well Weez! You get out there with those big Kansas Bucks, and Coyotes galore, That guy may have to pay you to come back home!
Just got a call the other day from the mines I trapped for last year needing me back. I’m heading out this morning to start it then got a call from an old customer I had wanting me to come by for a beaver problem also but I’ll be at least a week on the mine job.
Keeping everyone happy at the same time; sounds like a good problem to have!
