Colt, let me know what I could bring for Friday night. Pork and beans, baked beans, tater salad?
Plan on chuck and I camping Friday night.

I.can do the whole meal or just the fish don’t make no difference to me .
I will bring fish and my fryer for sure
Y’all just bring something enythang and it will be a good meal.

I’ll bring beans of some sort. I like just plain old pork and beans better than baked myself. I’ll throw in a case of water and some bowls/plates/utensils.

I like pork n bean better too.

I’ll be there and will bring something to add to the spread

The pre meet meets are very enjoyable. Just sit around and talk and visit…and eat.

Heads up, we’re keeping an eye on it.

Hopefully it’ll be fixed well before our meet.

Is it too late to get an alternate location just in case that one is not opened back up by then or are we just going to wait and see?

Going to wait a week or two I guess. Probably be good to contact them and see if they think it’ll be serviceable by our meet. Be best to not have to move it or the date.
I messaged them if they thought it’d be fixed by May 10. We’ll see.

Depending on how perfect they want to fix it that’s not a huge job could be done in a day to make it safe and passable, so they have time it will prolly be fixed fairly quick that is a well used park. Going in to a busy time of the year.

Don’t forget we’re having a cook out Friday evening before the meet. Working on the newsletter now. Dwight wrote it and Steve is processing. Surely they’ll have that culvert fixed in a month.

I finally remembered to call and make my reservation this morning. Mr. Walls said that the park was still not open, but still hoped to have the damage repaired in time for the meet.

Anyone have a close by plan B location? I would think surely they’d have it fixed before then.

Mr. Walls hoped they would have it fixed but the crews are only able to work on it sporadically due repairing the other flood damage around the county. We still have 3 weeks so maybe it will get done. He did allow me to reserve a campsite so I took that as a vote of confidence on his part.

That is a good sign if he took your reservation. Still be a good idea to spitball a plan B location. Dwight is going to call them in a week to get an update before the newsletter gets mailed.

The Garrad Co. County Extension office is just up the road a little ways, and as I recall, they have had trapping Demos in the past there. I think the guys name who is in charge of it there is Jay Hetsmanburger. Maybe Stacey White could have some influence in getting that place as a back up location. If not, give me a call, I MIGHT be able to scrounge up a location; Maybe. No promises, but maybe.

I might could find a place around hear not much further away.

If the park doesn’t work out I can try to find an extension office nearby.

Let’s go ahead and make the extension office the plan b. It’s fairly close and Stacy has a contact already. Hopefully plan A will still take place. Stacy, if you can get it we could put that info out as well as the initial info.
