Strangest, or most rare thing you have ever caught?

Curious as to what everyone has caught over the years that’s " Out of the ordinary". Two things come to my mind that I have caught over the years, and one was this last year at the Beaver Brigade. Gooser had set a MB 750 on a slide rod for beaver, and had made a catch. Only problem was that the beaver had pulled the t -stake and gotten away with trap, rod and all. We waded, and probed the bottom for quite a while trying to find it, but no luck.
the next day, lo and behold, there was the beaver, caught in my 330 on a Dam cross over set! Still had the trap and rod on his hind leg!
The only other thing I can think of that was odd was catching fish in a 330, a snapping turtle in a 110, and a weasel in a cage trap several years ago. ( So what are some of the things you have caught that’s out of the ordinary?)

A brown weasel with a white belly in a jump trap in a root wad I had set for mink when I was 14 or so. And then the bobcat the kids and I caught in a #1 guard trap set for coon in a pvc pipe set.

When Jeremy was wanting to learn how to trap I showed him how to make a dirt hole and I went about 20 yards up and made a scent post set, Jeremy caught a red fox, a coyote killed it in his trap and I caught the coyote in the scent post in the same night.

Caught a beaver a couple years back that had gangrene so bad that he smelled like he had been dead for a week. All the hair had already slipped from his neck to his tail…still swimming around and responded to Mr. Pickard’s Supper Secret Formula Beaver Lure Supreme.

I caught a beaver once in a pipe dream set out in a field along a creek. It told me how good a beavers nose actually is. All I had in the pipe was the lure Weez used.

Did you ever catch a coyote in a pipe dream set? I never have . Must be shyer yotes around here compared to NY.

I have not really. Leon has caught several. I look at it as a better cat set for me than coyote, especially with a black, visible pipe. It works all over the country, just not for me.

To attach to Thumb’s post……I’ve caught several coons in 110’s in the top 110 of an elbow mink set.

There NO doubt the pipe dream set works but you have to consider the source. Zagger is a blow hard!
It’s a Simple matter that you pound in a couple hundred of the same simple set that keeps working in adverse weather…it’s gonna catch some stuff. Is it the end all be all no but don’t tell him that!

How in the World?!

I’ve been finding with my set up
Some how Skunks are getting in cause I was catching them coming out not always but some
That was a Boar Coon and his time and the Skunks timing was one in a Million

That set us at a small fork of a drainage area
Had water in small pools and that was a little sandy bar
As I pulled up I couldn’t see the set
Smelled skunk then seen brown then black
Grabbed the pistol as if something bad was there
But your seeing exactly what I walked up on
Skeer’d me at first
They were looking eye to eye
How one was on top the other on the bottom
Maybe some one can explain it?
But I can at least say in my life time
I caught em both with one trap

You know that skunk was said no dude wait a minute don’t come in hear!
