What about green coyote or do they prefer them to be fleshed and stretched?

Coyotes will be very cheap down to worthless stretched and dried. It’d take a very good one to get a green bid I’d guess. I took some a couple years ago and four didn’t get a bid. I can’t grade coyotes evidently.

I haven’t been to an auction yet I have about 10 coyote hides that I did sell last year still in the freezer I haven’t fleshed or stretched , just take them to the sale? Still froze and thaw them out before auction? I’m new to this part lol

I usually sold to a guy that tanned them and made stuff out of them

And by green means fleshed but not stretched correct?

Green is skinned not fleshed or stretched.

really wish coyotes were worth something.

really gets me going seeing one in a trap…
other than a cat a coyote fires me up more than anything i think.

Did not know they would buy them like that I figured they would Atleast need fleshed

No they buy but the catch is cheap species like coon are dirt cheap green I topped out at 7.50 on coon last year and saw some green sold in bundles that averaged .10
But a green beaver is not gonna be off much cause it’s a good market right know

Yes coon and coyote green will be all but nothing. If you have a market for coyotes, any market, I’d go that route.

Well that’s the problem, I use to but not no more lol that’s why I have started looking into the market

I never would have imagined that a green pelt would be worth more than one already fleshed and stretched

It’s according to the buyer. Craft buyers will pay more than fur value buyers if you can find them. The craft buyer is not trying to turn it over instantly to make a few bucks. They’ll either make something out of it or plan to make 50-100;bucks when they turn it over.
