Who has cut out their tv?

Between the cost of it and the constant roar of negativity I can’t seemed to turn off I think the solution is to just try to cut it off and see if we survive. With trapping and UK basketball season coming up I don’t need it anyway. Good time to try and see. I believe the electronic devices make the days go by faster and faster, including phones buzzing.

We only watch local news and old sitcoms.
Mash cheers Sanford and son Barney miller and the like.
I don’t have a satellite or nothing like that.

I can run my iPad through the tv to watch old episodes of stuff, YouTube and such. Direct tv seems to like to jack up your bill from time to time. When tv is 200 a month I can find other things to spend that on.

I watch very little tv! Nothing on it interests me!

We took Dish out about 10 years ago, and I for one do not miss it! We can still stream stuff to the TV from Wife’s smart phone if we want to watch something; and the best part of that is that we pick and choose what we want to watch!
No more spending half the evening trying to find something decent to watch, plus NO BIG DISH BILL EACH MONTH!

Besides looking up something on YouTube or a Kentucky basketball game I rarely watch T.V. Honestly, if im looking at a screen its this phone. Which im sure cuts into my to do list some.

Used to watch Fox News but when they canned Tucker it isn’t worth watching. Football is the only reason I keep it but the last couple years I watch less and less.

Streaming seasons and a few movies.i have Fox News on my phone but NO to network news, local and national alike

We rarely watch TV. Madisen will find a Netflix series and we sit down to watch it until it’s done and find another. But with never ending house work or me hunting or taking the kids out, it typically takes a week to watch a one hour episode. If a series has a full season we will watch it for months. It’s typically our 10 minutes or so we get to spend together before we fall asleep at the end of the day after supper and getting everyone bathed and in bed.

I turn mine on every morning for about an hour to Fox news while im drinking my coffee to see whats happening.
Other than that its either a ballgame or you tube trapping videos.

I don’t watch tv at all. My kids watch YouTube and my wife watches her shows on HBO max. I watch YouTube in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep. But hardly ever is my tv on in my house.

We went to Roku streaming services. You download apps like on your phone but on the t.v. There’s several free apps that have some great shows but if you want to watch sports you got to get one of the sports apps that you have to pay for. The wife and I have a couple series we watch weekly and some old shows like Andy Griffith, Cheers, etc… I watch YouTube on there for my trapping shows and couple different podcasts I like to watch like Shawn Ryan.

I think Stacey is tired arguing with them when they just up the bill on their own. She’s about ready to cut the cord.

Y’all are making me feel pretty old…I hardly watch any tv and know nothing (literally NOTHING) about streaming, Hulu, watching YouTube from my phone on the tv, NetFlix, Roku and all them other words.

Me and the Mrs. lost a new TV a 1994 house fire. The new Sears console type with a record player with it a a new VCR player, it basically melted. Never replaced them. 30 + years without one. Do not miss them. Computer keeps us informed. Youtube has news, movies etc.

We had our Dish disconnected a few years back, and anything my Wife watches these days is streamed from her phone to the TV.

I have not had a T.V. in two years. It’s all programing. Don’t miss it at all.
